The TTouch of Kindness
643 Belmont Rd
RR2 Newport Nova Scotia

The TTouch of Kindness Grooming Salon opened its doors in May of 2011. The shop is done exactly the way I wanted it to be. There are two windows in the space that allow the most wonderful natural light for working in. Since opening, I have been enjoying every minute of meeting the dogs and their people from the local area.

 About Tellington TTouch

TTouch is an absolutely amazing way of working with animals, it uses a combination of gentle touches, and groundwork exercises to help an animal to achieve balance, gain confidence, and become more comfortable within their world. Please check out the main Tellington TTouch website:  to learn more about Tellington TTouch.

 About Me

I have been involved with animals throughout my life. I worked for six years as a Veterinary Assistant, am a trained Pet Groomer, and spent twenty-three years as the owner operator of Oakglen Kennels Ltd.  a dog boarding facility just outside of the city of Halifax.  I have raised and exhibited  Italian Greyhounds under the kennel name Kabecca since 1974.

I fell in love with Tellington TTouch in April 2006. I was curious about the TTouch method, so I signed up to take an Introductory Training of six days in Rupert Quebec. I knew within a few hours of the very first day that I needed to be com e involved with this amazing way of working with animals.  Going through the Practitioner training program has been an amazing journey. Along the way, I have met many wonderful people that I now consider to be friends. It takes a minimum of two years to complete the Tellington TTouch Practitioner Training Program. I am very proud to have completed my training in July 2008 at the training center in Rupert, Quebec.
